Analysis of five shortcomings of ordinary vibrating plate automatic feeding special-shaped parts

In the automated production and assembly process of various products, a feeding process is required. Since the parts of most products are special-shaped parts, the feeding method of special-shaped parts is not standardized. At present, most of the feeding processes use ordinary vibrating plates for feeding, but there are five shortcomings in the automatic feeding of special-shaped parts by ordinary vibrating plates. However, the flexible vibrating plate solves the five shortcomings of ordinary vibrating plates in the automatic feeding of special-shaped parts.

1. The ordinary vibrating plate takes up a lot of space: the diameter of the top plate of the ordinary vibrating plate is generally 80-1000mm. The more the number of discharge ports, the diameter of the vibrating plate will increase accordingly.


2. The vibration frequency of the ordinary vibrating plate is determined by the weight of the special-shaped parts. The heavier the weight of the special-shaped parts, the higher the vibration frequency, the greater the stress-strain rate and the noise.


3. Ordinary vibrating discs cannot be used universally: the circular conveying track and the direct vibrating conveying track of the vibrating disc are designed and customized according to the characteristics of the materials. The characteristics of each material are different, and the ordinary vibrating discs cannot be shared.


4. Most ordinary vibrating plates are magnetic, and the vibration of ordinary vibrating plates is mostly realized by electromagnetic means. For special-shaped parts that require strict control of magnetism, such as magnetic rings that require injection molding, they are magnetized after injection molding, and the magnetic force is strictly controlled before injection molding. Therefore, ordinary vibration plates cannot be used for special-shaped parts that require magnetism.


5. Common vibrating discs are easily damaged materials. In the automotive, watch, and electronics industries, the surface of many special-shaped electroplating products is easily scratched. During the cyclic feeding process of the ordinary vibrating plate silo, the surface of the parts is easily scratched by the product and the material passage, and the repeated vibration and friction of the parts in the plate will also cause the appearance of the material to be damaged.


The flexible vibrating plate is a highly versatile feeding device. Through the integrated control of the MZ vision positioning system and the robot, it can solve the problem of automatic feeding of special-shaped parts. Seven kinds of flexible boards have been customized, which are respectively suitable for special-shaped parts with different specifications of 0-120mm. The flexible vibration plate adopts voice coil motor control technology, and simultaneously controls four voice coil motors to realize various action functions. There are a total of 7 action modes, which can be used in any combination.


The flexible vibrating plate has a built-in control system, which occupies a small space, the disassembly of the material plate is quick, the installation and operation are convenient, the amplitude is strong, and the action effect is good. The vision part is responsible for detecting automatic feeding and robot positioning and grabbing when materials are in short supply. The vision software can set various parameters within 10 seconds, locate the position and front and back of the material by flight, and transmit the information to the robot to complete the picking, realizing automatic and flexible feeding of special-shaped parts. The use of flexible vibrating discs can meet the flexible production requirements of multi-variety, small-batch sharing and fast switching in current automated production, ensure feeding efficiency, save labor costs, and improve production efficiency. It can be said to kill two birds with one stone.
